Five Oceans Services had been awarded contract for the transport and installation of subsea and terrestrial umbilical of the G1 & GS15 Fields Development Project by Clough Engineering from Perth, Australia, as main contractor to Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India.

The project involved the surface laying and associated touch-down monitoring of one 25.8km subsea umbilical inclusive deployment of a main umbilical termination assembly at approx. 210m water depth, towards the shore, and the float-out and shore pull of a 3.2km terrestrial umbilical.

The subsea umbilical was loaded at the Multiflex manufacturing plant at Rosyth in Great Britain and subsequently transported to the Kakinda on the east cost of India.

To accomplish the project a dedicated project team was established in close cooperation with the client and detailed project related work methods were developed and applied during the project.
